Dating advice is all over the internet, in magazines, books, newspapers and on TV. There’s even an eight year old who wrote a book filled with great dating advice. (That kid is pretty smart and must be really good with the girls, because while basic, all of his dating advice rings true. If you’ve read the book, however, you’d be forced to admit that the eight-year-old boy does know what he’s talking about and he keeps it simple. The important thing in dating is to do just that and not complicate things.

Leave your past behind you. It’ll only get you bogged down. The first thing any dating-counsellor would advise you is that a fresh start is important for a date to go well. Talking to your date about how your ex mistreated you is definitely not the way forward. Sometimes it isn’t even necessary to talk, and a person who has been hurt once may be over suspicious of any new relationship and this could show in their attitude toward their date.

‘Do as you normally do – just be yourself’ is surely the best dating advice there is. Without dobt, people like to excel, to shine and impress their date, but faking it will only make both you and your date feel uncomfortable.

Making sure that your expectations are neither too high nor nor too low is also good dating advice. If you expect too much out of one date, or of the person you are dating, it is bound to be disappointing. Even your date is only human, and first dates are notorious disasters.

A frequently asked question is who pays? The consensus in dating advice is that he who invites, pays. However, some people insist that it is better to go Dutch every time and avoid complications. There is another school of dating advice though, that insists that the man pays for every date. In the case of a difference of opinion between you and your date, come to a compromise that works for both of you.

Texting your date before meeting is also a good idea as it puts him or her at ease and allows you to discuss interests and hobbies in an informal and less tense environment than a first date would be. This gives you something to work with if conversation lags.

At the end of the day, just bear in mind that, no matter how much dating advice you have under your belt, eventually, it is all up to you. No date is the last date, so if one doesn’t work out, don’t worry, there can be another one and if it still doesn’t work, there are always other people to meet.

A ’senior’, by definition, is someone older than yourself or, more broadly speaking, an older member of the community. ‘Dating’, by definition describes the courtship between two persons – which is often romantic in nature – who are either looking or not looking to get married.

So, ’senior dating’ is the romantic courtship between two people who are considered older members of society, or the romantic courtship of two persons where at least one partner is an older member of society. When referred to as ’senior’, this doesn’t have to mean that the person must be above the age of perhaps – 60 years of age. People of above the age of, for instance, 40 years are also thought of as ’seniors’, since people are believed to live ‘three score years and ten’ (70 years), half of which is 35.

It depends which of the many senior dating agencies you visit, especially when trying Internet senior dating, the age group targeted can vary. However, generally speaking. ’senior dating’ is geared for those people who are above 40 years of age.

Senior dating gives seniors, who could be divorced, widowed or still single, an opportunity to meet people of the same age group and to share ideas and interests or, if a deeper bond is created between the two, a more meaningful relationship. This permits seniors to enjoy their life, just as they did when they were younger. This is why, there are different kinds of senior dating services offered on the Internet.

In these senior dating services, which are obviously intended for seniors, there are few photos in the profiles – which gives those who have uploaded their photos an obvious advantage. Also, some of these senior dating services offer additional services such as anonymous email, instant messaging, chat rooms and forums.

When you use these online senior dating websites, you should be able to make new local friends, and communicate with each other appropriately, so that likely friendships can be found. Additionally, if you are meeting outside the online website, you should be certain that the meeting is in a public place – especially if you are meeting each other for the very first time and do not know each other well.

Another precaution you could take would be to inform someone you can rely on about where you’re going and with whom. However, if, for any reason, you start feeling uneasy with the person you are with, make sure to be polite and make your exit.

Even though these precautions and safety measures are general knowledge, it is better to repeat them as it is preferable to be safe than sorry. You would do well to stick to them too. In this way, senior dating will prove to be a successful way of allowing those who are divorced, widowed or have children, to be able to rebuild their lives and enjoy themselves again.

Just like with normal real-world friendships, online relationships need to be tended and to be allowed to grow over time. Here are some quick growing hints:

1. Take Time and Make Time: Does your online date email you often? Do you do the same? Neglecting virtual meetings can be considered rude, so treat each other’s time with respect. If it’s lacking, it could mean that it is time to move on.

2. Communication Needs to “Feel” Right For Both of You: If one of you is too pushy about having a meeting, for instance, that can create bad feelings. So, please, don’t rush things; just take your time to learn more about each other and engender trust.

3. Respect Each Other’s Privacy: Don’t share the other person’s email addresses or digital photos with your friends online, for example; especially if your online date sent you the information in private.

4. Share Special Online and Offline Fun Times: when online: send online greeting cards; links to favourite sites to upload digital photos of your favourite pet or car; download music and video clips; post on favourite forums of interest. When offline: if you’re exchanging addresses or post office boxes, send printed greeting cards and postcards and/or small items from your area (like a key chain with your state bird).

5. Share Recipes: People get tired of just talking about the weather, so a very popular subject to take refuge in is food. Sharing information about favourite foods and recipes will get things going and help form a point of reference; talk about your favourite cuisine and preferences. Do a search online for free recipes to share and take photos of your culinary creations and share them with your online friend as well.

6. Bidding at Auctions: Ebay auctions sell just about everything, don’t they? There you go then, look around and enter searches like the dates you were in high school and share nostalgic photos of old games, toys and TV shows from when you were a child or when your parents or grandparents were small.

Online dating can be an educational and fun experience. So learn more about each other and have fun while youre doing it. Take a cyber-stroll down ol’ memory lane together and see what’s cookin’. Tend your online relationship. Water it with care and over time it can sprout and grow.

Are you a senior dater or have you been out of the dating game for a time?? If so get some online dating advice at our websiteOld Fiddles Dating

Dating advice is abundant on the Internet, in magazines, books, newspapers and on TV. There was even an eight year old kid who wrote a book filled with sound dating advice. (That kid really is pretty clever and must be pretty popular with the girls, because although fairly basic, all of his dating advice is good sense. |If you read the book, you will be forced to agree that that eight-year-old kid does know what he’s on about and that he keeps it simple. And that is the point really: when it comes to dating, keep things simple.

A question that crops up time and time again is: who should pay? The general consensus of opinion in dating advice circles is that the one who invites, pays. But, others argue that it is always better to go 50/50 every time to avoid embarrassment. Furthermore, there is yet another school of dating advise though, that reasons that a man is not a gentleman” if he doesn’t offer to pick up the bill. The best thing to do in this scenario would be to settle for something that you and your date are both comfortable with.

Texting your date before meeting is also a good idea as it puts him or her at ease and allows you to discuss interests and hobbies in an informal and less tense environment than a first date would be. This gives you something to work with if conversation lags.

Basically, just remember, no matter how much dating advice you have, it’s all up to you in the end. No date is the be-all and end-all, so if one doesn’t work out, never fear, there will be others. No matter how difficult the first date seems, it does get easier until it’s actually fun.

by Rod Jones

A ’senior’, by definition, is a person older than yourself or, more broadly speaking, an older member of society. ‘Dating’, by definition describes the courtship between two people – which is usually romantic – who are either hoping or not hoping to find marriage.

So, ’senior dating’ refers to the romantic courtship between two people who are considered older members of society, or the romantic courtship of two people where at least one partner is an older member of society. When referred to as ’senior’, this doesn’t have to mean that the person must be over the age of say – 60 years of age. People of above the age of, for instance, 40 years are also considered ’seniors’, since people are believed to live ‘three score years and ten’ (70 years), half of which is 35.

Depending which of the various senior dating agencies you use, especially by means of online senior dating, the age group targeted can vary. However, generally speaking. ’senior dating’ is designed for those who are over 40 years of age.

Senior dating gives seniors, who could be divorced, widowed or still single, a chance to meet people of the same age bracket and to share ideas and interests or, if a deeper bond is established between the two, a more meaningful relationship. This permits seniors to enjoy their life, just as they did when they were younger. This is why, there are different kinds of senior dating services provided on the Internet.

The profiles of clients in many of these these senior dating services, which are of course intended for seniors, do not often have photos in them, which gives those who have uploaded their photos an obvious advantage. People are apparently too worried about what they look like. Also, a few of these senior dating agencies offer specialist services including anonymous email, instant messaging, chat rooms and forums.

When you make use of these online senior dating clubs, you will be able to find new local friends, and chat with each other appropriately online, so that compatible friendships can be found. Additionally, if you are meeting outside the online platform, you should be sure that the meeting is held in a public place – especially if you are meeting one another for the very first time and do not know each other all that well.

Another precaution you can take would be to inform someone you can rely on about where you’re going and with whom. However, if, for any reason, you start feeling uneasy with the person you are with, make sure to be polite and make your exit.

Although these safety measures are general knowledge, it is necessary to repeat them here, because it is better to be safe than sorry. You would be well advised to adhere to them too. In this way, senior dating will be shown to be a successful and safe method of permitting those who are divorced, widowed or have children, to be able to rebuild their lives and enjoy friendship with members of the opposite sex again.

Just like with regular off-line relationships, online relationships need to be tended and to be allowed to grow over time. Here is some quick growing advice:

1. Take Time and Make Time: Does your online date email you often? Do you do the same? Neglecting virtual meetings can be considered rude, so treat each other’s time with respect. If it’s lacking, it could mean that it is time to move on.

3. Respect Each Other’s Privacy: Don’t send the other person’s email addresses or digital photos to your friends, for example; especially if your online friend emailed you the information in privatley.

4. Share Special Online and Offline Fun Times: when online: send online greeting cards; links to favourite sites to upload digital photos of your favourite pet or car; download music and video clips; post on favourite forums of interest. When offline: if you’re exchanging addresses or post office boxes, send printed greeting cards and postcards and/or small items from your area (like a key chain with your state flower).

5. Share Recipes: People get tired of talking about the weather, so a popular subject to turn to is food. Sharing information about favourite foods and recipes helps to break the ice and even helps create friendships over your culinary skills, or the lack thereof, and tastes. Search your favorite search engine for free recipes to share and take photos of your culinary creations and share them with your date too.

6. Bidding at Auctions: Ebay auctions sell just about everything, don’t they? There you go then, surf about and enter searches like the dates you were in middle school and share nostalgic photos of old games, toys and TV shows from when you were a child or when your parents or grandparents were small.

Online dating should be an educational and fun experience. So, go on, take the time to learn more about each other and have fun while youre at it! Take a cyber-stroll down ol’ memory lane together and see what’s cookin’. Look after your online friendship, water it with care and over time it may sprout and grow.

A ’senior’, by definition, is a person older than yourself or, more broadly speaking, an older member of the community. ‘Dating’, by definition describes the courtship between two people – which is often romantic – who are either hoping or not hoping to get married.

Therefore, senior dating is the romantic courtship between two people who are considered older members of society, or the romantic courtship of two people where at least one partner is an older member of society. When referred to as ’senior’, this doesn’t necessarily mean the person has to be above the age of perhaps – 60 years of age. People of above the age of, for instance, 40 years are also considered ’seniors’, because people are believed to live ‘three score years and ten’ (70 years), half of which is 35.

Depending which of the many senior dating agencies you use, especially by means of online senior dating, the age group targeted may vary. However, generally speaking. ’senior dating’ is designed for those who are over 40 years of age.

Senior dating allows seniors, who may be divorced, widowed or still single, a chance to meet people of the same age bracket and to share ideas and interests or, if a deeper bond is established between the couple, a more meaningful relationship. This allows seniors to enjoy their life, just as they did when they were younger. Therefore, there are various senior dating services provided on the World Wide Web.

The members’ profiles in many of these these senior dating services, which are of course intended for seniors, do not often hold photos in them, which gives those who have uploaded their photos an immediate advantage. Most people are apparently too worried about what they look like. Furthermore, some of these senior dating agencies offer additional services such as anonymous email, instant messaging, chat rooms and forums.

When you use these online senior dating clubs, you should be able to find new local friends, and communicate with each other appropriately, so that compatible friendships can be found. Additionally, if you are meeting outside the online website, you should be certain that the meeting is in a public place – especially if you are meeting each other for the very first time and do not know each other well.

Another precaution you could take is to tell someone you can rely on where you are going and with whom. However, if, for any reason, you begin to feel uneasy with the person you are with, just be polite and make your exit.

Even though these precautions and safety measures might be general knowledge, it is necessary to repeat them as it is better to be safe than sorry. You would do well to stick to them as well. In this way, senior dating will prove to be a successful way of permitting those who are divorced, widowed or have children, to be able to rebuild their lives and enjoy themselves again.
